GIANNI ALBERTI
_Graduate in Clarinet and Saxophone from the Brescia Conservatory of Music, he perfected his studies with clarinetist R. Stolzman at the Accademia Musicale Umbra.
He collaborates with the orchestra of the Teatro "La Fenice" in Venice,the orchestra of "I Pomeriggi Musicali" in Milan, the Philharmonic "A. Toscanini" and the Orch. Nazionale of RAI Italian radio and television.He also collaborates with the Dedalo Ensemble and in various Jazz ensembles.
He carries out concert activity with the European Saxophone Quartet winner of the 2nd National Competition "Città di Asti" and 2nd place at the "Ponchielli" competition in Cremona. With E.S.Q. he has been invited to participate in various festivals including: I concerti della Fenice; Festival Nuove Sincronie; Festival delle Dolomiti; Heinerfest 1997 (Darmstadt); Frankfurt Musikmesse 2001e 2004; 10th World Saxophone Congress; March 5, 2006 "I concerti del Quirinale" live on Rai radio tre. He recently collaborated with actor Antonio Albanese in "Buffaopera" with music by Luca Francesconi and text by Stefano Benni. He has numerous CDs and concerts in Italy and abroad to his credit. On November 17 and 18, 2006, he played as soloist at the Odescalchi Castle in Bracciano for the wedding of Tom Cruise and Kate Holmes. On July 15, 2007, he played with his quartet at the Royal Palace in Milan for the Gianni Versace memorial in front of 500 vips from fashion, film and show business. He teaches saxophone at the "L. Marenzio" Conservatory of Brescia.
